About

This small, mostly residential neighborhood is home to the students of Boston’s many colleges, as well as long-term residents. Although Allston was historically a stockyard area, it was named after a famous poet and painter, Washington Allston, and keeps his memory alive through its continued artistry. With several prominent music studios and venues, it houses a thriving music scene.
