Bookkeeper
Full Time · $20-$22/hourly · Finance
Real estate brokerage located in Brooklyn is looking for a Bookkeeper to assist our Finance Department. The ideal candidate will assist with processing invoices from vendors and contractors and manage day-to-day general ledger transactions. Your focus will be in accounting but you will be required to assist with other administrative duties throughout the office and various departments.
Responsibilities:
- Review leases for accuracy as a part of the commission approval process
- Review and record commissions to ensure appropriate documentation, approval, and coding
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting documents
- Classify bank transactions, expenses and other items
- Prioritize work load in a deadline driven environment
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Strong fluency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of QuickBooks Online
- Must be organized, self motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail
