Flatiron

The Flatiron District is named after the Flatiron building, an iconic highlight in Manhattan’s skyline of architectural grandeurs. Just across the way from this infamous building is Eataly, an Italian food hall with markets integrated into the restaurants and a beautiful rooftop bar. It’s fitting for this area, as it’s clearly a foodie’s paradise with upscale dining institutions like Eleven Madison Park, Gramercy Tavern, ABC Kitchen, and more casual eateries like Beecher’s Handmade Cheese and Cosme—we’re happy to see there’s a plate for every palate (and wallet). As a commercial and residential hub, the Flatiron is also ideally located as the gateway between the hotspots in Union Square and Midtown. This is a bustling area, and residents and visitors often flock to Madison Square Park for a break in their day to people watch, admire the greenery, or grab a burger at the original Shake Shack.
