BROOKLYN, April 24th, 2018 — Nooklyn, an apartment marketplace and brokerage service that makes it easy to find apartments and roommates, has won the Best Real Estate Website award in the 22nd annual Webby Awards. Competing against large corporate players such as Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor, Nooklyn won as a bootstrapped startup with a four-person engineering team.

This is Nooklyn’s third nomination and first win in the Real Estate Website category. Nooklyn is the first NYC-based brokerage to win the award.

“This is like winning the nerdy Super Bowl,” said Moiz K. Malik, Chief Financial Officer at Nooklyn. “We’re incredibly honored to see Nooklyn recognized for excellence and look forward to expanding the platform later this year.”

Nooklyn is the leading website and app for finding an apartment or roommate in NYC. The platform enables renters to explore neighborhoods through curated guides and local news, schedule an apartment tour, directly message agents and roommates, and securely apply and pay for an apartment.
Recently, Nooklyn announced the opening of its second Manhattan office in the Lower East Side, slated for May 1st. Nooklyn also announced a successful seed investment round this year and is currently fundraising for its Series A round.
